Comments: Amaryllis Hippeastrum 'Pasadena' or Pasadena
Amaryllis is a carefree, hardy, low-maintenance  specimen plant that attracts butterflies and bees.  Amaryllis Hippeastrum 'Pasadena'  flowers are really gorgeous; they are red and striped with white.  There are as many as four flowers on a single stalk and each is shaped like a 6-pointed star and they make excellent cut flowers.  After plant has finished blooming, cut off the stalk 3" from bulb and remove wilted leaves.  This bulb is easy to grow; plant the bulb in growing medium with one third bulb showing in a pot about one inch wider than the bulb.  Feed Amaryllis Hippeastrum 'Pasadena' regularly with well-balanced liqud fertilizer while plant is in bloom.  Amaryllis Hippeastrum 'Pasadena' loves humidity and would enjoy being misted on hot Summer days.  This perennial can be forced indoors for a gorgeous display of blossom for the festive season.  sis a terrific traffic stopper.  If grown outdoors, mulch to protect plant from frost and provide stake to protect from wind.  Pasadena  Amaryllis is a terrific traffic stopper.
