Gladioli ' White Friendship'
(Gladiolus)

Origin: Hybrid
Family:  Iridaceae (Iris)
Light:  Full sun/ sun-part shade
Height:  3- 4'
Spread:  8-12" 
Blooms:  Lightly ruffled, 4-5" in diameter, white with lemon center
Fioliage:  Green, lanceolate, basal, cauline, sword-shaped
Soil:  Rich clay, keep moist, plant 4" deep
Water:  High moisture needs
Fertilizer:  Increase when blooms begin to develop
Uses:  Perennial border, cut flower arrangements
Propagation:  Rhizome division
Comments: Gladioli 'White Friendship' or Gladiolus is a beautiful tropical perennial.  It has a moderate to fast growth.  The word 'Gladiolus' came from the Latin word 'gladius' meaning 'sword'. Trim dead foliage.  Dig up corms when foliage turn yellow and store in cool dry place.
