Comments: Amaryllis belladonna or Belladonna Lily or Naked Lily or Brunsvigia rosea is a beautiful and carefree perennial bulbous plant.  This hardy plant produces charming fragrant blossoms in late Summer or early Fall.  These pink flowers have 3 outer and 3 inner petals and are borne on 18" long stalk.  Amaryllis belladonna is low-maintenance.  Grow Belladonna Lily as a lovely specimen plant in your favorite container.  Grow them in masses in the perennial beds or border for a dramatic effect; you will have many cut flowers to make a lovely bouquet.  Mulch Brunsvigia rosea to protect from frost and stake plants to protect from wind.  Naked Lily multiplies fast in moist soil and is easily propagated in early Winter from offset or bulb divisions.  Use a small pot, place bulb with one third of it sticking out of soil and an inch away from the side of the pot.  Place pot in semi-dark place till few leaves emerged then move to medium light.   Repot after a few years.  Amaryllis belladonna thrives well in full sun.
