Synonyms:  Smilacena borealis umbellata, Dracaena umbellulata (Michx.), Clintonia ciliata (Raf.)
Origin:  Native to United States.
Family:  Convallariacia

Light:  Light shade/full shade
Height: 4-16" 
Spread:  10"
Blooms:  White, on 6-16" stems, late Spring followed by globular black berries.  Flowers are hermaphrodite (Posess both male  & female organs)
Foliage:  Deep green, glossy, soft, tulip-like
Soil:  Well-drained, moist, sandy-loamy, neutral to acidic
Water:  Regular
Uses:  Bedding, borders, mass planting, container, woodland setting, cut flowers

Propagation:  Seeds should be sown ASAP in cold frame, bulb division in Spring
Comments:  Clintonia umbellulata or Smilacena borealis umbellata or Dracaena umbellulata or Clinton's Lily or Speckled Wood Lily or White Clitonia or White Bluebead Lily is named after the former governor of New York, Dewitt Clinton.  Clinton's Lily is an attractive clump forming frost tender perennial grown in a woodland setting.
