a tropical perennial tuberous plant that spreads by above-ground
runners. The leaves are darker when grown in shade. Colocasia
antiquorum 'Illustris' has beautiful contrasting foliage. It
trives well in sun to part shade moist area of my garden.
Grown en masse, Black and Green Elephant Ear make excellent plants for the water garden
or a mixed container
centerpiece. Colocasia antiquorum 'Illustris' is easily propagated
from tuber division or offsets.
