Origin:  Mexico
Family:  Amaryllidaceae

Light:  Sun-part shade
Height: 1-1.5' 
Spread:  6-9"
Blooms:  Red, on 1-1.5' stalk, late-Spring
Foliage:  Bluish-green, long, smooth, upright
Soil:  Well-drained, organic, sandy, slightly acidic, keep moist
Water:  Regular
Uses:  Bedding, borders, mass planting, container, indoors

Propagation:  Bulb division, repot every 3-4 years
Comments:  Sprekelia formosissima or Jacobean Lily or Aztec Lily is a gorgeous perennial bulb plant with a fast growth rate. Plant bulbs 2-3" depth.  The gorgeous blooms look strikingly beautiful when this plant is grown in masses in the garden bed.
