Comments: Agave parryi var. huachucensis or Huachuca Agave or Parry's
Agave or Agave huachucensis is a slow growing Agave with grayish-green leaves
growing in a rosette pattern. Each leaf has a black pointed tip.
Parry's Agave is carefree and low
maintenance. It makes an excellent xeriscaping plant for the dry
landscaping garden. A compact evergreen plant, Huachuca Agave can tolerate
tempertures down to zero degrees F. The plant dies after flowering as the
flower, stalk and seeds have used up all resources from the leaves and root.
Agave huachucensis is very easy to propagate from seeds or offsets.
