Comments: Aptenia cordifolia 'Red Apple' or Baby Sunrose or Heartleaf Ice
Plant or Dew Plant or Litocarpus cordifolia or Mesembryanthemum cordifolia is a carefree
perennial succulent with a trailing habit. This evergreen plant produces
bright red mini daisy-like flowers that makes an attractive groundcover. Baby
Sunrose is low maintenance and tolerates drought well. It is an excellent
plant for the xeriscaping garden and looks incredible in containers or hanging baskets.
Heartleaf Ice Plant tolerates both sun and shade and is easily propagated from
seeds or stem cuttings.
Pinch plant to promote branching. It grows more aggressively when watered. This is a 'Plant and Forget' plant for me. I love the eye-catching
charming red blooms on this lovely succulent groundcover.
