(Giant Cabuya, Green Aloe, Mauritius Hemp)

Origin:  Carribean, Norther South America
Light:  Full Sun
Height: 3'-4'
Spread: 6-8'
Blooms: Very fragrant, large, greenish-creamy white, on long spike, in mid-Summer
Foliage: Green, sword-shaped, slender,  hooked spiney margin , has sharp pointed tips at apex 
Water:  Little, dought tolerant when established
Uses:  Xeriscaping, border, desert garden
Propagation:  Bulbils

Furcraea foetida '
or Malagache Aloe or Mauritius Hemp or Giant Cabuya or Green Aloe or Mauritius-hemp is a beautiful tropical  succulent with attractive Agave+like foliage. This drought tolerant perennial has a short stem.  Malagache Aloe makes an excellent xeriscaping plant in the dry landscaping garden.  Grow this beauty in a container to accent the patio or deck.  Green Aloe
is carefree, low maintenance and easily propagated from bulbils.  Mauritius-hemp is a very useful plant in tropical and subtropical regions as they are grown for its fibre.
