Plant or Sprouting Leaf or Tree of Life is a fast growing succulent plant.
The bronze-green foliage have interesting brown blothes on them.
Life Plant thrives well in full sun or in the part shade garden. In the
Fall, showy coral flowers at tips of 2 feet tall shoot appear and hummingbirds love them for their
nectar. Kalanchoe
gastonis-bonnieri looks lovely in hanging baskets. Grown en masse,
Bryophyllum gastonis-bonnieri makes excellent
groundcovers or as xeriscaping plants in the rock garden since they are
drought tolerant. Donkey's Ear is low maintenance and are
very easy to grow. As the leaf ages, they produce little white
fuzzy plantlets appear along its edges. These tiny plantlets of
Good Luck Leaf can be easily removed and planted in well drained soil.
Another method of propagating Sprout Leaf Plant is to cut a leaf and just lay
it on top of moist soil and baby plants will sprout readily.
