Jacob's Ladder is low-maintenance and thrives well in dry arid soil. The stems of

propagated in an ideal temperature of 55 degrees F, however allow milky sap on cuttings
of Japancese Poinsettia to dry out before
planting. The red flowers of Slipper's Spurge that appear on the
tip of the scrooked stems are bird-shaped, hence the name, Redbird
Cactus,. Planted in masses in the xeriscaping landscape, Variegated Devil's Backbone plants
