Comments:
Sedum 'Autumn Joy' or Showy Stonecrop is a drought tolerant perennial
with a clump-forming habit. It produces attractive broccoli-like
flowerheads that changes color in 3 stages of maturity. The Showy
Stonecrop blossoms initially are pale pink then mature to pink in late
Summer and then to rusty-red in the Fall. These beautiful upright
blossoms of Sedum 'Autumn Joy' attract many bees and provide some winter
interest in the garden while many other flowers in the landscape are
fading. This succulent makes excellent xeriscaping plants; they
are low maintenance and are
very easy to grow. Grown en masse, Sedum 'Autumn Joy' looks great
in the perennial beds or in containers todecorate your deck or patio.
Keep Showy Stonecrop trimmed
or pinched to prevent
floppiness.
