Comments:
Sedum spathulifolium Cape Blanco' or
Silver
Broadleaf Stonecrop or Pacific Stonecrop
or Spoonleaved Stonecrop
is a low, slow-spreading, low-maintenance perennial succulent plant with
a clump-forming habit. It is very brittle; however
the broken pieces are easily propagated by sticking them in the soil and
they will take root in no time. Provide Silver
Broadleaf Stonecrop sufficient space to grow as they spread nicely as a
groundcover in
the hot, dry area of the garden.
Plant them in a shallow container to show off its beautiful
silvery-white hue in the Summer and red and deep green hues in the
Winter. Grown in masses, Pacific Stonecrop
makes great edging or border plants and looks especially nice in the
rock garden. Butterflies are attracted to Spoon-leaved Stonecrop
blossoms.
This excellent xeriscaping plant can tolerate light foot traffic.
