Origin:  Nambia, southern Africa

Spacing:  1.5-4' 
Blooms: Orange, light yellow , in mid-spring
Foliage:  Cylindrical-shaped, bluish-renn, rubbery-textured
Soil:  Cactus potting soil mixed with little humus, drought tolerant
Water:  Only when dry.  Reduce watering in Winter
Fertilizer  Liquid fertilizer especially during blooming season

Uses: Rock garden, xeriscaping
Comments:  Senecio cylindricus or Senecio is a low growing succulent shrub that grows very well in the dry area of the garden.  The ideal temperature for growing this low-maintenance and carefree plant is 40 degrees F and up.  Protect plant from frost.
