Origin:  Native of Korea
Family:  Lamiaceae

Blooms:  Long blooming, violet-blue on 2-footed stems
Foliage:  Mint-scented, wrinkled, deep green, glossy, purplish-tinged underside
Soil:  Keep moist

Comments:  Agastache rugosum or Korean Hyssop is a self-seeding herbal plant that attracts many butterflies.  This perennial plant has an intense scent. Deadhead to promote more blooms and to prevent volunteer plants next season. Crushed leaves have been used on bruises or wound to aid healing.  Agastache rugosum is used as a herb in traditional medicine for indigestion, sinus problems and elevate immune system.
