Comments: Artemesia Vulgaris 'Janlim' Oriental Limelight or
Oriental Limelight or Variegated Mugwort or Variegated Woodworm is a
herbaceous low-maintenance
perennial with gorgeous foliage variegation. In mid-Summer it
bears tiny cute flowers at the end of the stems. Sun-loving Artemesia
Vulgaris 'Janlim' Oriental Limelight is easy to propagate from cuttings
and it thrives well in well-drained soil. This perennial is
carefree and require little maintenance. I fell in love with the
different shades of yellow and green variegation on the leaves when I
first spotted it. I use it as a groundcover to add color to an
arid area of my landscape where little else grows. Variegated Mugwort
can be container grown and when grown en masse, they make exquisite bedding plants. When the
Variegated Mugwort
foliage is bruised, it emits an aromatic scent which I find it pleasant.
Your cat would adore you if you grow this plant in your garden. I
know our neighbors cat enjoys lying among the foliage on many occasions.
Artemesia Vulgaris 'Janlim' Oriental Limelight tends to be floppy and is
susceptible to root rot if soil is poorly drained and moist. Trim to
maintain shape and to promote new growth.
Variegated Woodworm
has been popularly used in folk medicine; it is also used to flavor beer in
Europe.
