Comments: Plectranthus amboinicus or Cuban Oregano or Indian
Borage or Spanish Thyme is a carefree and low-maintenance fragrant
tropical herbal plant. Trim plants when it gets out of shape and
plant the cuttings or share them with friends. Leaves of the Cuban
Oregano will root when they touch the ground. Cuttings root easily
in water when placed at an area when there's sunlight. To
encourage a fuller growth, remove tips of young Indian Borage
shoots. In colder areas, bring plants indoors for the Winter.
Plectranthus amboinicus is a makes a lovely groundcover. It looks
lovely in hanging baskets or in a container as a patio plant. Cuban
Oregano is such a handy plant to have for the kitchen. I
frequently use the leaves in cooking stewed meat, pastas and it adds
flavor to a salad.
